Dr. M. Dhanapal is a seasoned political leader and advocate, currently serving as a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha, representing Tamil Nadu. A devoted member of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), Dr. Dhanapal has committed over four decades to public service, community development, and social justice.
A Journey of Public Service
With roots in Tamil Nadu and a background in Political Science, Dr. Dhanapal’s political career began in 1977 as a youth wing member of AIADMK. His rise through the party ranks has been fueled by his strong grassroots presence, people-centric leadership, and dedication to the ideals of the late leaders Dr. M.G. Ramachandran and Selvi J. Jayalalithaa (Amma).
